A couple of weeks ago I decided to buy myself a Digital SLR so I could pretend I was an artsy photographer, but secretly hadn’t the first notion of what I was doing. I would certainly class myself as a point and shoot type person ;0).
I still haven’t fully got my head around the countless settings for the aperture and so forth, but I’m finding it great fun to just go out with your camera slung around your neck looking all touristy. Irrespective of my novice ability to shoot “life in motion”, in a way I’ve found I can manage to take some pretty pleasing shots too.
Obviously I’ve been a bit lucky in having a friend set up the camera for me beforehand; otherwise I’d have ended up with every photo out of focus.
I’ve added some of my favourite photos so far from pottering about with my camera.
As I go I will continue to add some of the shots over the course of the year, be it on tour or whatever.
